A haphazard car chase that injured eleven people was caught on video that has gone viral.

Police say it happened just after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities stopped a green Mercedes due to it dark tints near Fordham Road and Marion Avenue.

When they approached the driver with guns drawn, they say they saw him smoking marijuana. Video shows the driver take off, bumping people out of the way and even going up on to the sidewalk where vendors and pedestrians had to run for safety. News 12 is told all the injuries were minor. One of the vendors spoke with News 12 as they recounted the frightening moments.

Police did eventually track down the car on Hughes and Crescent Avenue in Belmont. The driver is still at large. If anyone has information on the incident, please contact police.
