NYPD responded to Mother Gaston Boulevard Wednesday at the intersection of Belmont Avenue for reports of a shooting at 8:30 a.m. The video shows a person walk up to a group outside of a deli. Someone then starts shooting and the group begins to scatter except for one person who falls to the ground.
Police say the suspect showed up in a black Sedan. After the shooting, the suspect got back in the vehicle and drove off.
The 33-year-old victim was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Crime scene investigators were at the scene all morning and into the afternoon trying to speak with witnesses, taking pictures of the scene and collecting evidence. A bullet hole can be seen in the door of the deli, and a number of shell casings were on the ground.
