The NYPD has released surveillance footage that shows an armed robbery in action in Fort Greene.
The suspect is seen walking into a bodega on Myrtle Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday wearing a mask and dark clothing. He points a gun right at the cashier, who attempted to grab the weapon.
That's when police say the suspect fired one shot at the clerk, but missed, striking the wall behind him. The video then shows the man jump right over the counter and grab $900 from the register. Police say the man then ran out the door and headed west on Myrtle Avenue.
The man is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 160 pounds. His weapon is believed to be a .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun. He was last seen wearing a grey jacket and dark pants.
