New video shows the moments a parked car went up in flames in Bushwick on Friday as well as who did it and what caused it.

According to officials, a lit cigarette is what caused the fire Friday afternoon on Gates Avenue between Irving and Knickerbocker Avenues. A person is seen on surveillance footage throwing their cigarette into the pile of garbage. Moments later, it goes up in flames.

Neighbors say they understand this may have been an accident, but what they want now is an apology.

Luckily, no one was hurt.
