A vigil was held Thursday for the 16-year-old who was fatally shot on the streets in Bed-Stuy.
Police say Latrell Brown was gunned down by Justin Delapara, 17, on Wednesday. Delapara was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
The incident happened in front of 481 Macon St. around 2 p.m.
Family and friends marched from Brown's high school to where he was shot as they try to come to terms with what happened.
Dozens of candles under a single white balloon lined the area where Brown was killed.
Police say they believe the two teens were having a dispute before the shooting. Surveillance video from a restaurant shows Delapara shooting a gun before running down the street.
Brown's girlfriend, Sabrina Tucker, was with him at the time of the shooting. Tucker tells News 12 that she tried to help him by taking off her shirt and wrapping it around his head.
"I told him I needed him and that I loved him," says Tucker.
