Vigil held for man attacked while riding bike on Fulton Street
A candlelight vigil was held Tuesday for community members to pray for the recovery of a man who was attacked while riding his bike.
Family members, activists and even the Brooklyn borough president came together to pray for 38-year-old Domingo Diego-Tapia.
Diego-Tapia was riding his bike home on Fulton Street on June 8 when police say he was punched in the face by another man.
Diego-Tapia, a Mexican immigrant who works at a fruit stand on Church Avenue, suffered severe trauma to his head and is in a medically induced coma at Kings County Hospital.
Investigators describe the suspected attacker as a man in his mid-20s with an athletic build and a beard.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
