Law enforcement officers and other mourners gathered Thursday to remember a city correction officer who was gunned down at 73rd Street and Avenue L Sunday.
Police say Alastasia Bryan, 25, was sitting in a car outside her mother's home when a gunman fired multiple rounds.
They say they believe the killer was waiting for her and sped off in another vehicle.
The Correction Officers Benevolent Association is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Earlier in the week, police said they wanted to question Bryan's ex-boyfriend.
Anyone with information about the slaying is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or 1-888-57-PISTA in Spanish.
