Volunteers in Brooklyn prepared and delivered Christmas meals Monday to seniors in need.

Citymeal on Wheels volunteers prepared the Christmas meal at the Borinquen Plaza Senior Center.

After packing, volunteers then headed out on delivery routes to deliver the meals. 

The meals hope to serve as a reminder to homebound elderly residents that they are not forgotten.

Over 20,000 Citymeals on Wheels meals were delivered on Christmas.
