Mourners attended a wake in Bed-Stuy for the city correction officer who was gunned down in her car outside her mother's apartment last week.

Friends, family and fellow members of law enforcement packed the First AME Zion Church on MacDonough Street in honor of Alastasia Bryan, 25.

As News 12 has reported, Bryan was sitting in the car near East 73rd Street and Avenue L in Flatlands last Sunday when a gunman approached and fired at least four shots into her vehicle. Surveillance video shows the attacker lurking nearby before ambushing her. 

Police say a second suspect was also involved. The two reportedly fled in a gold-colored sedan. The correction officers union is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Police say at one point they were looking to question Bryan's ex-boyfriend.

Bryan was a rookie correction officer who had been on the job for just a month.

Michael Thomas, a former correction officer and now a community activist, says he's confident that the NYPD is handling the investigation well and praised the department's show of solidarity. But he questioned why Mayor Bill de Blasio was absent from the wake.

Her funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at the same church. She will be buried at the Canarsie Cemetery.
