Forecasters say the light snowfall during Monday's evening commute will turn to ice later in the evening as temperatures rise.
The rain is expected to erase about 2 inches of snow between 7 and 8 p.m., according to News 12 meteorologists.
Officials warn that there could still be ice on the roads. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until midnight.
Forecasts show periods of rain Tuesday, and temperatures could break into the 50s.
