With the start of the West Indian Day Parade, merchandise vendors are hoping to cash in big with spectators.
Offering a variety of T-shirts, flags, and other Caribbean-themed goods, vendors are hoping parade spectators will show their pride for their country and culture.
Jessica and Pablo Sinclair, a brother-sister vendor at the carnival, say the parade is all about fashion, food and culture.
She says bold-colored beads, necklaces and other jewelry are very popular.
However, the parade is most famous for its scantily dressed participants.
Sinclair says women who show off their mid-drifts, cleavage, and behinds is just a part of the culture and the tradition.
