It's nearly time for students to head back to school and there are a few things Brooklyn parents need to know before registering their children.
Officials say parents must bring their kids with them in order to register. The adult must be the child's legal guardian, or they must get an affidavit from the Department of Education.
Parents and students must bring two proofs of residence, the child's birth certificate or passport and immunization records to registration centers. They should also bring the student's latest report card or transcript, if available.
There are three registration sites in Brooklyn: - Brooklyn Technical High School, 29 Fort Greene Place - Clara Barton High School, 901 Classon Ave. - Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School, 5800 20th Ave.
