The Massapequa Coast Little League team will have to wait a bit longer for their chance to turn things around on the field.
Their second matchup of the Little League World Series tournament vs. Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania was postponed due to inclement weather Sunday afternoon. They will play Monday morning at approximately 11 a.m.
There are no plans for a watch party at John Burns Park in Massapequa due to the expected rain headed toward Long Island, Town of Oyster Bay officials said.
Fans told News 12 they are not sweating Friday's 12-0 loss to Honolulu. They are instead focusing on what they hope will be a major comeback in the double elimination tournament.
“Just play your hearts out. Good luck! We are all rooting for you," said Eileen Gajdos, of Massapequa.
The crowd was around twice the size of last week's watch party when Massapequa advanced to the Little League World Series.
