A Brooklyn yeshiva was raided by FBI agents, according to eyewitnesses.
The raid at UTA Central Yeshiva on 76 Rutledge St. in Williamsburg came just hours after the FBI conducted several raids at yeshivas in Rockland County Wednesday.
An FBI spokesperson says they conducted raids in Rockland connected to a Federal investigation, but would not comment further.
The raids are believed to be linked to fraud of a federal program called E-rate, which reimburses local government agencies for providing Internet and computer services to low-income areas.
Sources say the yeshivas in Rockland County may have improperly obtained millions of dollars in federal funding as a result of the program.
The FBI did not say if the raid at UTA was connected to other raids made by Federal agents in Rockland County.
