Police say Julia Litmonovich is in custody after she was located by police in Staten Island. She is awaiting charges.
They say the 49-year-old woman was driving a black Dodge Challenger with Georgia license plates on 47th Street last month when she hit a 14-year-old girl who was crossing the street at the time. Video of the incident shows the driver getting out to check on the girl.
Police even say she offered to take the teen home, but she drove off after someone called 911.
