Police told News 12 that 18-year-old Aniyah Trapp-Miley was arrested and charged after a baby girl was left with blistering burns all over her legs.

Genesis Scott told News 12 she left her 18-month-old daughter, Milan, with Trapp-Miley earlier this month so she could attend her GED classes. The two women were said to be friends.

After three days without Milan, Scott brought her child home thinking that nothing was wrong.

But once the family got home, she says her father lifted the baby's pant leg and spotted a blister.

She cut Milan's pants off with scissors, and found her legs and feet covered in blisters.

Scott confronted Trapp-Miley about the wounds, which she first claimed were from spilling hot soup. Her story has since changed multiple times.

"Like a weight has been lifted off my chest and very much relieved. Glad she's not free and just walking around like she's innocent, Scott said reacting to the arrest.

Trapp-Miley faces charges of assault and child endangerment. It is not known yet when she will be in court.
