A woman was fatally struck by a car early Sunday morning in Sunset Park.

Investigators say a Nissan sedan cut off another driver near the intersection of 25th Street and Fourth Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. They say the cut-off vehicle changed lanes to avoid a crash, but wound up hitting a woman crossing Fourth Avenue.

The victim was transported to Lutheran Medical Center and pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released.

Police say the driver who hit the woman went to the 72nd Precinct to report the incident.
