? Some Brooklyn women were honored at the Women of the Year Awards Sunday in Park Slope.
One woman was recognized for her efforts to pass on songs that have been a tradition in the Russian-Jewish community. This year?s nominees competed in 12 categories including journalism, politics and the arts.
The women?s division of Esther Ha Malka hosts the event each year.
