As News 12 celebrates Women’s History Month, a longstanding member of New York’s Bravest is hanging up her helmet after serving 27 years with the FDNY.
Lt. Adrienne Walsh said her final farewell to the firehouse where she spent nearly three decades in service to the city. Walsh was the first ever female officer to be part of an FDNY rescue company.
“I thank everyone I worked with over the years,” said Walsh, as dozens of fellow firefighters saw her off. “You taught me well, made me laugh, and I will miss you all terribly.”
