It's Banned Books Week, which celebrates the freedom to read.
In honor of literature, News 12 hit the streets to find local bookworms and see what their favorites are.
"War and Peace," "The Omni-Americans," and "Never in a Hurry" were just some of the books mentioned.
Well-known books that have been challenged or censored in the past are "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn," which was cited for being racially insensitive, and "The Catcher in the Rye," which is frequently removed from schools for obscenities.
