A worker was injured in a fall at construction site in Coney Island on Saturday.

It happened on Surf Avenue at the site of a new development with rentals, called Ocean Dreams.

The Department of Buildings says the worker was clearing some debris on the site when he fell approximately 10 feet through hole in a floor.

The worker was conscious when he was taken the the hospital, and officials say he suffered injuries to his leg and back.

The Department of Buildings says the floor opening did not have the proper guardrails when the worker fell. The construction site was issued a full stop-work order.
