The NYPD says the worker killed in last week’s roof collapse at a Marine Park commercial building has been identified as 43-year-old José Luis Moreno Ramírez.

Ramírez was inside the two-story building at 3223 Quentin Road on Thursday when the roof of a rear concrete extension gave way during demolition work.

Department of Buildings inspectors say that work was being done without permits.

The DOB has since issued a full vacate order and stop work order at the site.

Utilities have been shut off, and an emergency order was filed to seal the building entirely.

Several violations have been issued for performing work without a permit and failing to properly maintain the structure.

Neighbors say the incident has rattled the normally quiet community.

“It’s really crazy that this happened here in this community. Nothing ever goes on here,” said Dena Fischer, Marine Park. “I’m very sorry that that happened, and I hope that this person’s family can find some peace.”

Funeral arrangements for Ramírez are scheduled for Wednesday night.
