Baseball fans across the borough are lamenting the season-ending knee injury to Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera. Rivera tore the ACL of his right knee yesterday during batting practice in Kansas City. He was carted off the field after collapsing and grimacing on the warning track. "'He's right up there with Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Jeter," says fan James Smyth. Rivera, who holds the Major League record for saves with 608, says he will be back on the mound in 2013.
