Young gridiron athletes are hitting the field at Fordham University as part of the school?s football camp for kids.
This year marks the first Fordham football camp experience for Fordham head coach Tom Marsella. Marsella, who is entering his second year on the Fordham sidelines, said it?s ?good for us to get back out on the field.?
Marsella said the camp helps players of varying ages and skill levels.
?This is fun,? Marsella said. ?You get to see the kids get better during the week.?
The program is still establishing itself, according to Marsella. He says he hopes the program can be used as a recruitment tool in the future and give prospective athletes a chance to work with the coaching staff before they begin looking at college programs.
