A Beacon officer helped rescue a small dog that was getting attacked by a larger dog.

A Beacon officer helped rescue a small dog that was getting attacked by a larger dog.
Sgt. Joseph Conti saved the dog, named Marcus, when he saw him getting attacked on Verplanck Avenue.
Marcus suffered a life-threatening puncture wound to his abdomen, requiring a four-hour surgery.
Marcus is recovering and was well enough to stop in to the police headquarters for a visit with his new friend Conti.
