With the possibility of being indicted on criminal charges, supporters for Donald Trump rallied outside Manhattan’s Criminal Court on Monday.
The speculation of charges comes after Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social that he thinks he will be arrested.
“They are going after him as a proxy for the majority of people that are the silent majority, and voted for him,” said New York Young Republican Club president Gavin Wax.
Wax helped organize the rally and emphasized he and the fellow Republicans who came out all were peaceful alongside the NYPD’s supervision while standing up for their beliefs.
“We have never had an issue or incident,” he added. “It's always been done professionally with a NYPD present.”
“Obviously this is targeted and obviously it's something I've never seen before so he wanted to stand up with him,” added NY Young Republican Club member Mike Crispy. “Peacefully and patriotically, and people need to stand up for some of the dead so much for us. President Trump's and amazing things for our country so we owe it to him to come out here.”
The rally wasn’t disclosed to members of the media until they rsvp'd. News 12 was told from the NYYR Club the reason behind that was to keep this rally quiet and controlled to keep it peaceful.
