Fifteen tenants in Williamsburg are looking for a place to live after being forced out of their building last night.
The residents were evacuated from 226 Manhattan Ave. after someone reported feeling the four-story building shake. Officials say the building is unstable, with a huge crack in the structure and chimney. According to the Department of Buildings, the last complaint about the structure was recorded in 1992. The department has ordered the owner to fix the damage himself or pay for the costs after the city makes the repairs.
