Two Bronx men were arrested in connection with a major international cyber crime scheme to steal up to $205 million, federal agents say.
According to prosecutors, 18-year-old Mir Islam, of Bronxdale Avenue, trafficked the information of more than 50,000 credit cards. They say the online hacker was also part of a group that allegedly crashed Twitter last week.
Joshua Hicks, of Olmstead Avenue, is accused of selling stolen credit card information to an undercover FBI agent.
A total of 24 people from 13 countries were arrested in what investigators say is the largest cyber sting in history.
