New York City will see a few brief showers late in the overnight, and there might even be a rumble of thunder as we head into the early parts of Wednesday's rush hour commute. It won’t be a washout, but it’s enough to make the overnight a bit unsettled before things dry out again.
Temperatures will climb back into the upper 70s tomorrow, giving us another taste of summer before things take a sharp turn. This week is shaping up to be a full-on temperature rollercoaster, with highs swinging from the 80s down into the 60s and even the 50s.
A strong front moves in late Wednesday, and that’s the big game‑changer temperature-wise. It’ll bring a noticeable cool‑down for Thursday, dropping us back to more typical early‑spring temperatures in the low to mid‑50s. Along with the front, expect periods of rain and some rumbles of thunder overnight into Thursday, making for a soggy and occasionally noisy stretch.
Rain chances ease up a bit from Thursday through Saturday, though a stray shower can’t be ruled out. A more organized system looks to return Sunday into Monday, bringing another round of wet weather to wrap up the weekend and start the new week.
