Two fawns were rescued in Torrington by Connecticut State Police, environmental conservation officials and some Good Samaritans.

Troopers say the newborn deer were found Saturday off the shoulder of Exit 51 on Route 8.

The fawns are being cared for at a local wildlife rehabilitation center.
