Two police officers are recovering from minor injuries following a shooting in Belmont Monday night.
Dozens of cops were called in to break up a crowd near Prospect Avenue and East 187th Street after investigators say a 28-year-old man was shot near his knee.
Police say one officer suffered cuts to the eye and the other received small cuts on his hand while trying to disperse the large crowd.
The victim was rushed to Saint Barnabas Medical Center and is expected to survive.
