The McDonald's on Bay Parkway and 67th Street in Bensonhurst transformed into a 1980's-era restaurant this week for a three-day pop-up event celebrating season two of Marvel's “Loki.”

Upon arrival, fans entered through a Time Variance Authority (TVA) door inspired by the show, which takes them back to the 1980s. From there on out, the experience is entirely retro. Today is the last day it will be open.

“This brings back a lot of memories for me as far as how the stores looked when I worked in them back in the ‘80s," said Paul Hendel, the location's owner and operator.

The interior includes wall art, booths, displays, menus and even the uniforms worn by staff. Guests can also see some of the props used during the filming of the show like the menu board and costumes worn by characters.

"It was incredible. The team that they sent in actually came here on a Monday morning. And on Wednesday, we went from a 2023 store to a 1982 store. It was really amazing," Hendel said.

Customers are able to try a special 'As Featured In' meal and they can snag some Loki-branded sweet 'n sour sauce. The prices will be matched to what they were during 1982.

The event is part of a grand celebration for the location's upcoming appearance in season two of “Loki” as well as the establishment's appearances in media throughout the decades.

"They wanted a store in Brooklyn and they wanted the demographic to be exactly what they were looking," says Hendel. "They felt like this location was the right location."

Loki Season 2 features actors like Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. It premieres on Oct. 6.
