Brooklyn played a large role in the movement to end slavery. Now, you can listen to the stories of some of those who made the world we know today possible.

There are 19 spots throughout Brooklyn that you can explore with the "More Than a Brook: Brooklyn Abolitionist Heritage Walk" audio tour.

It's accessible on your smartphone with transcriptions of the audio. The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission commissioned the Black Gotham Experience to create the audio stories.

"Our aim was to rise to the occasion and be able to tell the stories of the people that move through those spaces," said Kamau Ware, founder of the Black Gotham Experience.
