A ribbon-cutting ceremony in Tarrytown marked the opening of 62 Main St., Westchester's newest affordable housing building.
WBP developers said the $54 million project transformed the former YMCA property into over 100 affordable and energy-efficient apartments.

A total of 88 apartments are reserved for seniors 55 and older.
The development was a huge relief for residents, like Paulette Ross, who needed a reasonably-priced place to live.
"I'm retired. I had to close my business because of COVID-19 and at my age you can't get an apartment unless you can prove what you earn," Ross said.
The developers said around 3,000 people were on the lottery waitlist to get into the building.
