Diyorjin Sovirjonov, 24, is facing a slew of charges in connection to a police-involved car crash in Gravesend Sunday morning.

Police say the 24-year-old was driving while intoxicated when his Chevy Suburban crashed into a Volvo at the intersection of Ave U and Coney Island Avenue. He then eventually spun out, overturned and crashed into a police car.

He refused to take a breath test after the crash.

Sovirjonov is charged with reckless driving, aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

According to a criminal complaint, one of the police officers suffered a broken hip. A second officer suffered a broken arm and pelvis.

Police say two people were in the Chevy with Sovirjonov. One of those passengers is still in critical condition.
