Four men are now facing drug trafficking charges after 12 kilos of cocaine and nearly $100,000 in cash was discovered in the basement of a popular sports bar in Bushwick.

Authorities said the men, identified as 30-year-old Daniel Camareno, from the Bronx, 31-year-old Jose Acevedo, from Queens, 29-year-old Adelfy Acevedo, from Brooklyn and 54-year-old Felipe Lopez, from Queens were stopped just before midnight on Nov. 13 as they left Punta Cana Sport Bar on Halsey Street.

Police obtained a search warrant and went inside the basement of the business finding a stash of cash and drugs.

Authorities said they found 12 kilos of cocaine in bricks, a money counting machine and a stack of cash in rubber bands.

The investigation led police to the home of Jose Acevedo in Glendale, Queens, where a 380 caliber Smith & Wesson pistol was recovered, and a search of Camareno's home in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx led to the discovery of ledgers, where inventories were kept and a secret compartment in a speaker, where about $100,000 in jewelry was hidden.

The four men are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The arrests were a result of a join investigation between the NYPD, the DEA, New York/New Jersey High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HITDA) and the Office of Special Narcotics Prosecutor.
