A person pulled from a burning home in Bensonhurst early Wednesday morning has died, according to the FDNY.

Firefighters responded to a blaze at a two-story home at 2246 64th St. just before 7 a.m. on Jan. 7.

The FDNY said the fire started in a basement apartment, where firefighters said they found a lithium-ion battery.

Crews rescued one person from the home and rushed them to a hospital in critical condition. Officials later confirmed that person died.

More than 48 hours after the fire, the home’s windows remained boarded up, and the city’s Department of Buildings issued a full vacate order for the structure.

Authorities have not released the name or age of the person who died.
