Stamford dermatologist provides tips for Skin Cancer Awareness Month

With summer just 43 days away, a warning from a local expert about protecting yourself from skin cancer.

Stamford dermatologist Dr. Omar Ibrahimi says wear "a wide-brimmed hat" to protect as much of your skin as possible.

He also recommends wearing sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV light.

Ibrahimi says skin cancer is the most treatable form of cancer, if detected early.
