Fourth graders at a City Island school brought history and some famous faces to life Tuesday.
The students took part in a popular year-end tradition that let them step into the shoes of some of their biggest inspirations. Students at P.S. 175 took center stage for the school's annual Living Wax Museum.
The event challenges fourth graders to research a historical or contemporary figure, dress as that person and deliver a first-person presentation to classmates, parents and members of the school community.
One of this year's standout stories involved a student named Axel, who chose Virgin founder Richard Branson for his presentation. After writing to Branson's team, Axel received a special care package and a personal video message from the business leader that was shared during the event.
