Police are searching for the man who they say wrote anti-Islamic statements on a playground and a building in Sheepshead Bay.
According to the NYPD, the man struck twice in mid-June and used a black marker in both hate crimes incidents.
Police say he wrote anti-Islamic statements on the back of a building located at 2101 Avenue U just after 2 a.m. on June 16.
Two days later at around 11:30 p.m., he wrote similar statements inside Bill Brown Playground.
The NYPD released images of the man wearing a black long sleeve t-shirt, shorts and black flip flops.
