Service is partially suspended on the LIRR Ronkonkoma Brach due to a person being struck by a train near Central Islip.

The MTA says westbound and eastbound trains from Ronkonkoma to Hicksville are being delayed. Bus service was being secured as of Sunday afternoon, according to the MTA.

The condition of the person struck by the train was not immediately known.

Service has resumed between Wyandanch and Ronkonkoma.

The MTA is encouraging customers to visit its website for the latest updates.
