Man stabbed, cellphone stolen in late-night Williamsburg attack

The NYPD says a 69-year-old man was violently robbed of shampoo and cleaning supplies in Gowanus.

It happened around 1:40 p.m. Sunday in front of 336 Douglass St.

According to police, the alleged robber punched the 69-year-old all over his body before snatching the items and running away.

The NYPD says the victim suffered lacerations to his head and body.

Paramedics rushed him to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is expected to recover, according to the NYPD.

Police released video and images of the man they are looking for. He is seen wearing a black Dodgers cap, ripped jeans, black Nike sneakers, a plaid button-up shirt over a white T-shirt and a black backpack.
