Brooklyn students returned to three schools Monday that were closed last week during the swine flu scare.
Children and teens headed back to class at Good Shepherd School in Marine Park, St. Brigid's in Bushwick and Bishop Kearney High School in Mapleton. Students and staff members were allowed back in after custodians and cleaning staff worked for days to properly disinfect the buildings.
The Brooklyn Archdiocese took precautions and closed the schools after some students exhibited symptoms of the flu. The principals of the schools say students who feel ill should continue to stay home from school.
