30 firefighters help extinguish fire in Stamford

Nearly 30 firefighters helped put out a fire in Stamford on Friday.
The blaze took place on Fairfield Avenue in a basement apartment of a multi-family home.
Fire officials say the flames started in the basement and was under control in 15 to 20 minutes.
They say the fire likely started from the kitchen stove left on or in self clean mode. They added the cause is not definite and that there was some smoke damage to the home.
