An apartment building in Flatlands was evacuated Monday after officials deemed it unsafe.
Firefighters responded to 3405 Kings Highway after reports of cracks in the structure.
Firetrucks and Con Edison crews are on the scene as a precaution in case the six-story apartment building collapses.
The Department of Buildings will inspect the structure to see if tenants can go back into their apartments.
Tenants that live in the building say the damage could be related to the construction going on next door, where a medical office is being built.
The American Red Cross will be offering support to tenants who are without a home for the time being.
