Police say six people were arrested at a local pizzeria Wednesday in connection to an illegal drug ring.
According to authorities, nearly 20 pounds of cocaine, four guns and $20,000 in cash were seized from John's Pizzeria on Westchester Avenue. Police say some of the cocaine was stuffed inside pizza delivery boxes. Officers believe some of the pizza boxes contained nearly $42,000 worth of cocaine.
Police say three of the suspects arrested will be charged with selling cocaine and three will be charged with purchasing. The investigation into the drug ring took nearly 10 months.
The owner of the building was not arrested. Local merchants say he did not know about the drug deals.
