Students and officers from the NYPD's 83rd Precinct cleaned up graffiti around Bushwick Monday.
Chief Jeffrey Maddrey, the commanding officer for Brooklyn North, hosted students from the New Jerusalem Methodist Church at 10 locations to paint over vandalized walls.
"When you see the police officers and the community working together to clean up, it just shows how much both entities care," Maddrey said.
