Veolia Water says service was restored in Hoboken Thursday morning after emergency repairs to a water main.

The company said residents at multiple buildings were without water as crews worked to repair the broken section of a water main on Madison Street between 2nd and 3rd.

Hoboken OEM reported that about 30 buildings in the area could have been impacted by low or no water pressure at all. Veolia Water said those customers "should flush cold taps until water runs clear, then resume normal use."

The utility also said roads remained closed for repaving.
