The NYPD is searching for a suspect linked to a reported assault in Brooklyn.
Police say the incident happened Tuesday at 6:05 a.m. in the Beverley Road and East 16th Street area. According to officers, an unknown individual approached a 72-year-old man from behind, pushed him and slashed him in the face multiple times with a knife.
The suspect fled on foot on Marlborough Road toward Cortelyou Road.
The victim sustained lacerations to the face and was transported by EMS Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
