ALERT CENTER: Yonkers woman accused of neglecting a pit bull faces charges

A Yonkers woman is facing charges over accusations that she neglected a young pit bull.
The Westchester SPCA says that Carletta Jenkins didn't provide the dog named Mad Dog with food, water or veterinary care.
Officials say in April, Yonkers firefighters were called in for a fire at 13 Riverview Place. They say that's how the SPCA found out about the dog.
Firefighters say Mad Dog was emaciated, dehydrated and neglected. He was removed and transported to the Yonkers Animal Shelter for medical attention, and it was determined that he was being starved.
